We've had a visit from Lord Victor Adebawale, chair of the NHS Confederation, who wanted to see and hear about the amazing local community and the partnership work in the Town.
Lord Victor met with residents, voluntary groups and community leaders to learn what's important to them and their visions for a future Fleetwood. He also enjoyed a wonderful evening at a sneak-peek of the new Strive community cafe at Flakefleet Primary, with a singalong from Harmony & Health.
Visits like these help to keep Fleetwood in the discussions for support and funding from the NHS and others, and the guests always leave with a smile and a great impression of the Town.
Also this week, the former Fleetwood hospital building was the venue 'Re-fit For Purpose', a prestigious event showcasing some of the exciting ideas for the site from Fleetwood Trust and their partners. TV presenter and architect George Clarke was part of a panel of industry experts, calling the Fleetwood Hub project a "beacon of hope for the Town."
And this weekend, three Fleetwood residents will be representing Team GB in the World Triathlon Championship finals - the very best of luck to Adam, Richard and Paul in their efforts.
Yes we have some challenges in our Town but never be in any doubt that we also have an incredible, strong and reslient community with individuals and organisations doing everything they can to make Fleetwood a better place to live, work and visit.
Thank you.
