In July this year members of The King's Fund visited Fleetwood to meet local residents and community groups, including at Strive Fleetwood and Healthier Fleetwood.
They heard how listening to the community and allowing individuals to have more of a say in the decisions that affect their health IS producing positive results. Adam Lent was part of the visiting group and he's written a great article on the success of Fleetwood's Thrive Partnership - professionals and community leaders working together to support children, young people and families. This has led to a significant reduction in the waiting time to receive support.
Adam also mentions the role played by the Healthier Fleetwood initiative - supporting the vibrant, local network of residents, voluntary groups and community events.

Thank you to Adam and his colleagues for taking the time to come to Fleetwood, and sharing the success of a collaborative approach to health and wellbeing.
